Hi! I’m Lilly…

I’m Lilly, the cook and owner behind Lilly’s Kitchen, an independent catering business based in Uttlesford, Essex. I specialise in private catering and bespoke events, alongside my homemade frozen meals and farmers market favourites.

My food is artisanal and made with care. I make as much as possible from scratch, using high-quality ingredients and recipes I’ve developed over the years. Many have become signature favourites that you’ll only find at Lilly’s Kitchen.

I trained at Ballymaloe Cookery School in Cork, Ireland, completing its 12-week certificate course, and have experience in both cooking and front of house. As a sole trader, I’m personally involved throughout - from planning your menu and preparing the food to serving guests and managing staff. At most events, you’ll find me there myself, making sure everyone is well looked after.

Food runs through my family. I’m the third generation to work in food, raised among people who love cooking, hosting and collecting recipes. Those family recipes and influences still shape my menus, and sharing them with clients is one of the loveliest parts of my work.

I source carefully, buy locally whenever I can and know my suppliers by name. Their ingredients deserve to shine, and I take real pride in doing them justice.

The variety of bespoke catering brings me so much joy. Whether I’m feeding a film crew, serving canapés in the middle of a field or packing picnics with my golden-yolk Scotch eggs, I love seeing where the next booking will take me.

I’m fully insured and work from a well-maintained commercial kitchen with a five-star food hygiene rating.
